I have recently discovered the macro setting on my camera…and I am head over heels in love with it!
At the end of April, one corner of my backyard erupts into a lava-flow of tiny, delicate, pink flowers. And this time, I actually took the time to stop and “smell the roses” so to speak!
In fact, that discovery of my macro setting has opened up a whole new world ready to be photographed right in my own backyard!

I typically don’t post on the weekends, but I am having way too much fun with these August photos! Have you discovered the macro setting on your camera?! So fun!!

Wait a minute, how close are you to these flowers?? I thought that it was just a big bush of flowers, but from what you’re saying they are actually really tiny. Which… Makes me love this photo all the more!

Thanks for the kind words! And – yes – I basically had my lens sitting on the ground!
I love my macro. Turns out it’s been there the whole time but it took a photography course for me to uncover this fact. Beautiful shots. I’m having fun just scrolling around.
